At MSPC, we are dedicated to supporting individuals with Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s. We are seeking a passionate Health & Wellbeing Lead to oversee and guide our innovative health and wellbeing programme area. This role is pivotal in providing evidence-based interventions, education, and social connection, framed by our understanding of Te Whare Tapa Whā, to help individuals with MS or Parkinson’s and their whānau live well in their communities.
Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
In this role, you will:
Design and Lead Programmes: Develop and lead specialised health and wellbeing programmes tailored to the unique needs of individuals with chronic conditions.
Oversee and Inspire: Use your influencing skills to mentor our Health & Wellbeing Advisors. Manage contractors and volunteers to deliver engaging and effective programmes.
Empower Participants: Maintain your own caseload, providing assessment and interventions to optimise outcomes for participants.
Collaborate and Innovate: Partner with health and community sectors to ensure our programmes are aligned with current best practices and develop a broad range of health and wellbeing education offerings.
Report and Reflect: Prepare and present financial and programme reports to the Manager, ensuring transparency and accountability.
This role is perfect for someone eager to work closely with those in the neurological field and enhance their expertise in MS and Parkinson’s conditions. Our ideal candidate will have a background in community-based practice, a professional qualification and current registration in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or another allied health profession, and ideally work experience with older populations.
