Job Description
Kate Edger Foundation empowers women through education by funding the promotion, encouragement, and advancement of education. Over $600,000 per annum, mainly Auckland & Northland, funded by proceeds from a social enterprise The Graduation Place; also trusts, corporates, and individuals, the foundation continues the legacy of Kate Edger, the first woman in New Zealand to gain a university degree.
Role Description
This is a part-time (min 26 hours per week), on-site role for an Awards & Scholarships Co-ordinator, located in Newmarket, Auckland. The Awards & Scholarships Co-ordinator will manage the application process, assist in the selection process, communicate with applicants, maintain records, and coordinate with funders. The Co-ordinator will also manage event planning for award ceremonies and scholarship presentations.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in maintaining records and databases
- Ability to interact with funders, applicants, and committee members effectively
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience in education or non-profit sectors is a plus
- Working understanding of NZ’s tertiary education sector, including familiarity with the institutions, course offerings and entry requirements is preferred
- Post-graduate qualification with a demonstrable research component and/or graduate teaching experience would be highly desirable.
