ABOUT THIS ROLE
Habitat for Humanity Te Waipounamu is an Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity NZ, part of the global charity delivering affordable housing initiatives to communities.
We’re working on exciting changes to promote greater collaboration across the Canterbury, Otago and Southland regions.

We seek a skilled Home Repair Coordinator to support our mission in Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region. 

The role is permanent part time 0.3FTE (12 hours/week).

This role may be combined with the 0.5FTE 12 months fixed term Canterbury Area Manager position (listed separately).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinating with local homeowners, qualified trades/services and volunteers for effective repairs, maintenance and modifications to homes

  • Providing non-judgemental support for households requiring loans to fund repair work

  • Acting as the main point of contact to external agencies and stakeholders to inform about the programme.

  • Supporting local Committees and other work related to housing adequacy and advocacy
