Our newly formed future thinking and strategy team are looking for a switched on, passionate person to join the monthly discussions and capture notes and action points.
UWEN is a collaborative, community led group of 9 restoration and environmentally focused groups working across Auckland's Upper Harbour Local Board area. With a small team of paid staff and a legion of volunteers (23,000 hours donated in 2024), there is a lot of work going on but so much more potential too!
The future strategy team are there to work alongside the operations team and help the organisation keep ahead of the wave, be connected to what's going on at a national and international level and to be able to adapt. If you want to be inspired by passionate, knowledgeable people then we'd love to hear from you and learn from the skills you have to bring with you too.
Meetings take place monthly, typically late afternoon either in person (in Whenuapai) or online.
Feel free to get in touch to find out more.
Please get in touch with Rachael, Network Manager at uwen.manager@gmail.com in the first instance to find out more and we'll go from there.
The Upper Waitematā Ecology Network is an open forum for a wide range of groups and organisations who collaborate to restore and regenerate the ecologies of the Upper Waitematā Harbour. From backyards to urban forests to the waters of Te Waitematā we aim to improve the biodiversity of our neighbourhoods and wider landscape.
