Kia ora, amazing community!  We are excited to announce the new location for our Curtain Bank on Main Street, Palmerston North!  We are urgently seeking volunteers and need your help!

The Curtain Bank is open Wednesday and Friday 10.00 AM - 2.00 PM, and we're on a mission to up-cycle donated curtains to create warm, eco-friendly solutions for local homes.  We are planning to open the Curtain Bank on other days in the future.

Your time and skills could make a huge difference.

Role description

Keeping homes warm with appropriate curtains is essential to maintaining health and wellbeing. Our curtain bank volunteers use their skills to help people living in cold houses.

Your tasks

Your volunteer role will include: 

  • Collecting donated curtains.
  • Sorting and measuring curtains.
  • Fixing and altering curtains that need mending.
  • Re-lining used curtains.
  • Packing and distributing orders.
