Closing date Thu 10 April
Part-time, 1-2 days per week (35 days total). Some weekend and evening work
If you are a skilled designer and are passionate about working for a greener and fairer Aotearoa, then this fixed-term role may be ideal for you.
We are looking for a designer to utilise our brand guidelines and design principles to provide bespoke design work for the Green Party at the 2025 Local Body elections. The successful candidate will use their design skills to provide templates and visual graphics for digital and print collateral. They will also support local campaign teams to complete design work and will work with external agencies to provide digital advertising. This will be done in collaboration with the Green Party Field Manager and local campaign teams.
The successful candidate will be someone who is keen to work in a values-driven organisation, providing design work that will support the political aims of the Green Party. The Local Body Campaign Designer will be able to take initiative to provide design solutions that meet the needs of the volunteer-led local campaigns whilst following design briefs that meet the aims of the national campaign strategy.
The flexible nature of this role means that the hours worked per week can be determined in consultation with the General Manager but it will be important to meet key deadlines and milestones. A broad expectation is 1 day per week from May to August then 2 days per week in Sep and 1 day per week in October.
The Green Party is proactively looking to hire Māori and Pasifika candidates and is committed to equal employment opportunities. We acknowledge the challenges of applying especially for young, disabled, LGBTIQA+, women and/or people of colour. We are happy to have a conversation about how we can support your application.
