The Wellington Women’s Health Collective (WWHC) is a well-established non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of women in our community. Since 1986, we have been providing timely support, information, and counselling services, ensuring that all women have access to the care and resources they need.

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and driven Manager to provide operational leadership and oversee the daily management of our organisation. This role is integral to our success, ensuring that our services remain relevant, sustainable, and impactful. The Manager will work closely with the Board, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to maintain and grow WWHC’s presence in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Work with the Board to develop and implement the vision and strategic direction of WWHC.
Maintain a dynamic organisation that is responsive to the needs of women in Wellington.
Explore opportunities to enhance the diversity and impact of WWHC’s services.
Operational Management
Ensure financial, administrative, and legal compliance within the organisation.
Oversee day-to-day operations, maintaining efficient and effective service delivery.
People & Volunteer Management
Lead and support staff and volunteers in alignment with WWHC’s values and policies.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and empowering team environment.
Community Engagement & Networking
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, government agencies, health providers, and other women’s organisations.
Represent and promote WWHC to increase awareness and advocacy for women’s health and well-being.
Records & Compliance
Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with funding and legislative requirements.
Manage documentation to support operational and strategic goals.
About You
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed leader who thrives in a collaborative and values-driven environment. You will bring a mix of strategic thinking, administrative expertise, and hands-on leadership to ensure WWHC continues to serve the women of Wellington effectively.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a management or leadership role, ideally in the non-profit or health sector.
Strong administrative skills, including financial management and compliance.
Experience in staff and volunteer management, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Ability to develop and implement organisational strategies that align with WWHC’s mission.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of women’s health and well-being issues, as well as a commitment to gender equity and inclusivity.
Familiarity with Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and their practical application.
Personal Qualities
A strong commitment to WWHC’s values and feminist principles.
Ability to work collaboratively, inspire a team, and create a welcoming and supportive environment.
