Job Description

The Wellington Timebank is looking for someone with strong admin and people skills to be our new Kaiwhakahaere/Coordinator for a fixed-term one year contract (with the hope to renew based on funding). The Wellington Timebank is a community of over 1,000 members - individual and organisational - who share skills for time, rather than money - find out more about how timebanking works here. The Kaiwhakahaere builds and supports the community of people who participate in this exciting alternative economy. You will be working in an empowering environment, with support from a dedicated Steering Committee and management for 30 hours a week.

The Timebank is in its 14th year and we’re looking for someone with community building and admin skills, who can support our community to keep trading, connecting and growing. The Timebank is a project of Te Whare Hapori o ngā Puna Waiora / Newtown Community Centre (NCC), but works across the whole of Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington and is part of a local and global network of Timebanks.
