Pou Manaaki Taiohi ō Aotearoa | Scope Aotearoa Charitable Trust is a national organisation based in Ōtautahi | Christchurch. The Trust’s core business is engaging and partnering with youth development organisation’s in a review cycle. The aim is to ensure they are working in line with international best practice to achieve positive youth development outcomes for the young people they support.
About the role
This is a contract role (maximum of 15hours/week). You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Trust. You will be working independently and have support from the Board of Trustees. A full NZ Driver’s License and police vetting is required for this position.
What you will be doing
• Maintain the day to day running of the Trust
• Organise reviews and re-reviews of youth development organisations within Aotearoa in line with the Trust’s strategic plan
• Promote, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders – including funders, partner organisations, and local communities
• Oversee the Trust’s financial management and work within a defined budget – including budgeting, reporting, and fundraising in partnership with the Bookkeeper and Trustees
• Monitor and update the website
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements
What we’re looking for
• Significant experience and leadership within the Youth Development Sector
• Display an understanding and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural practice
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
• Financial management skills, with the ability to oversee budgets and fundraising initiatives
• Ability to work independently and use your initiative
• Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people and the organisations that support them
• Confident with Microsoft Office 365
