Climate Club Aotearoa is passionate about driving meaningful action on climate change through education and community engagement. Our workshops empower schools, businesses, and communities to take action for a more sustainable future. Alongside this, we run a variety of impactful projects aimed at making climate action more accessible and effective.
We’re looking for a proactive, organised, and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Climate Workshop & Project Coordinator to help roll out workshops in communities, schools and support other key projects.
This part-time role is an exciting opportunity to facilitate climate workshops, manage workshop logistics, and coordinate additional projects that contribute to our climate action goals. You’ll work closely with schools, stakeholders, and internal team members to deliver high-quality programming. If the role expands to full-time, you’ll have the chance to grow alongside the organisation and take on more responsibilities.
Organise and facilitate interactive climate workshops for schools across Auckland. This includes outreach to schools, building & maintaining strong relationships with school contacts and educators, and proactively finding opportunities for delivering workshops.
Manage workshop schedules, venues, and materials to ensure seamless delivery for yourself and other facilitators
Actively engage participants, adapting to each class’s needs as required, ensuring workshops are dynamic, relevant, and impactful.
Assist in the planning and implementation of workshops, related climate projects, fundraising and volunteer management.
Track project milestones and ensure timelines are met.
Provide regular updates and reports to the team on project progress and outcomes.
Handle communications with community groups, schools, partners, and other stakeholders.
Maintain participant records, feedback forms, and workshop data.
Collaborate with team members on funding applications and reporting (if applicable).
Experience in workshop facilitation, project coordination, or educational outreach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Passion for climate action, sustainability, and environmental education.
Proficiency in online collaboration such as Google Office (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Canva, etc.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Full driver’s license.
Facilitation experience
Previous experience managing projects, tasks
Passion for climate change and able to communicate climate science
Ability to communicate with various groups
