Job Description

Jolt creates connection, expression and belonging through the freedom of inclusive dance.

Reporting to the Artistic Director and working closely with the General Manager. This is a fixed term 2 year contract (due to funding), based on 10-15 hours per week, with the possibility of some tutoring included for the right candidate.

We are interested in someone who is driven, committed, and has a passion to change the narrative on intellectual disability, full training can be provided. 

  • Coordinate regular classes, including managing the wait list, class placements, access support and the fee register. 
  • Support staff to deliver classes including coordination of staff meetings and support for professional development.
  • Manage support access needs for Jolt dancers to attend classes, performances, workshops and events
  • Continue to strengthen relationships with Pasifika and Māori service providers to engage with Jolt’s mahi.
  • Continue to strengthen relationships with disability groups and schools to engage with Jolt’s mahi.
  • Coordinate and support disability leaders to deliver community workshops.
  • Support data collection and feedback.

We are looking for someone who has.

  • Experience and confidence in working alongside people with disabilities.
  • Highly motivated and able to self-start.
  • Have a passion for disability arts and service to the community.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills with a strong moral compass.
  • Embody integrity and warmth.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for the arts and dance would be ideal (especially if interested in the additional tutoring component) but not essential.

$34 – $37 per hour
