We are excited to announce that there’s an opportunity to join the Restorative City Whanganui Trust (RCWT) as a Facilitator for restorative justice and restorative practices. This is a part-time position (20 hours a week).
The Trust is open to contributing to relocation costs for a fully accredited facilitator.
If you are intrigued by the principles and framework of Restorative Justice and Practices, this is your chance to amplify their impact and foster positive change within our community. RCWT holds the contract to provide restorative justice services in Whanganui, Marton, Taihape, and Ohakune. As a Facilitator you will be present in each court and facilitate pre-conferences and conferences with individuals and whānau in those locations. You will have access to a Trust vehicle for work travel.
RCWT also provides restorative practice services to the community and organisations. In addition to facilitating conferences, you will also be facilitating workshops on applying restorative principles and embedding them into an organisation’s culture.
You will need to be someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, displaying adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges. A quick thinker, and confident problem solver. In this role you will also need to show you have sound judgement.
We are looking for someone with proven experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, who can help people navigate comfortably through unfamiliar processes. RCWT is after someone who has, or can build, strong relationships in the community.
