Part-Time Crop Production, Volunteer & Mgr Support : Christchurch South Community Gardens Trust
Minimum 4 hrs/week. Saturday ( 4hrs – 10am – 2pm) Opportunity for more work over time - show us you are reliable and can commit to learning the ropes and have great skills and energy to offer .
Location: On our main community garden site at 188 Strickland St, Sydenham and other off site projects as required.
The role will help facilitate the trust’s goal of developing a resource which contributes effectively and authentically to neighbourhood sustainability in all its forms.

· Develop an aesthetically pleasing, productive and recreational community garden in collaboration with local residents, funders and other supporters.
· Encourage collective gardening and decision making.
· Promote waste minimisation, home composting and other sustainable practices.
· Enhance cultural understanding by providing horticultural-centred community events
· Provide quality produce for distribution to the local community
· Provide a venue for research and the support of students on placement
· Provide volunteering opportunities for a wide range of groups and individuals.
· Develop supportive relationships with local schools and other education providers.
