Due to the demand for more working dogs to be rehomed and the
critical role social media plays in rehoming and our community, RWDNZ is looking to recruit a social media manager.
We’re recruiting a social media manager to:
Provide strategic advice for social media use including
planning, content creation and channels
Share best practice with a motivated volunteer team and
develop guidelines
Act as an expert point of escalation both I proactive work (for
example campaigns) or reactively if issues arise (for example
excessive trolling, issue management).
This is a remote role, where you can work from your home. Either a Mac or PC desktop or laptop is needed.
The socia media manager would:
● Lead development of and maintain our social media guidelines
● Maintain strategic oversight of social content and planning
● Support volunteers to develop their skills and practice including
training in social media and our guidelines
● Create a monthly, quarterly and annual skeleton
● Provide analysis to inform future activity and enhancement of
guidelines
● Act as a point of escalation for any concerning or inflammatory
media posts in a constructive way to best achieve rehoming of
the dog and maintain a positive community.
● Support wider campaigns or projects by contributing ideas, knowledge and capacity where possible. ● Maintain accurate records from on behalf of RWDNZ
● Alert the RWDNZ trustees if there are any concerns, or advice is
required
● Be available and willing to support the wider team as needed
● Make decisions on the best social media engagement to
achieve forever homes for the dogs.
We anticipate this role would require six to 10 hours per week, depending on activity.
