Role description

We're holding several sorting events on 22, 24, 29, and 31 October to help our teams process donated goods getting them ready for sale our Red Cross Shops. As a volunteer, you'll be sorting and preparing donated clothing for sale, as part of a team.

Funds raised in our shops go to supporting communities where the need is greatest in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas. You'll also be helping give pre-loved clothing a new lease of life, extending the life of quality items and supporting sustainable shopping.

Your tasks 

Your volunteer role will include: 

  • Processing donated goods ready for sale: sorting donations into saleable, unsaleable and recyclable items, with guidance provided.
  • Weighing and recording of saleable, unsalable and recyclable.
  • Hanging and steaming items.
  • Preparing items for pricing (attaching tickets).

Location

Location : Unit 1, 433-435 Great North Rd, Henderson, Auckland
Morning Shift: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
