Land Use Manager

Who will you be working for?
Our client is one of New Zealand’s largest independent full-service forest management companies, with harvest and forestry operations throughout the North Island.  They have a specialist team who have been managing New Zealand forests for over three decades to ensure the owners reap the maximum benefit from their investment. 
  
As Head of Land Use and ETS Services, you will be integral in underpinning potential growth opportunities, while providing sound and innovative advice around the emission trading scheme (ETS) to land owners and other clients.
  
What’s the role?
With overall management of the business unit, you will drive the increasing demand for forest management skills, knowledge and expertise in the New Zealand market.  You will lead, motivate, coach and mentor a small team of high performing people to execute a range of services in the forest management space. 
  
As Land Use & ETS Services Manager you will:  

• Have an input into the strategy and business planning, reviewing growth strategies and client acquisition
• Provide sound and innovative ETS advice, understanding key ETS opportunities, risks & liabilities, advising clients of these
• Staff management, lead and mentor a team, while actively pursing clients and new business
• Forest consulting work, contract negotiation and support, while managing risk and compliance
• Your day will be varied and challenging but, with this comes great reward
