Job Description:

Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to our People/tangata, ensuring their well-being and comfort on a daily basis.

 

Current Vacancies:

  • We have a variety of morning, afternoon and night shifts available to fill.
  • Hours may vary between 32-40 per week.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support People/tangata in their daily activities and provide excellent quality of care.
  • Administer medication and monitor vital signs under the direction of healthcare professionals.
  • Assist People/tangata with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe environment for People/tangata.

What will you bring?

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or similar role is preferred, flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards People/tangata.
  • Full Class 1 driving License is essential.
  • Apprenticeship in health and wellbeing level 4 (preferred), or Health and wellbeing certificates in Level 3 - 4.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification in first aid is a plus, but not essential (we will support you to gain First Aid Certification).
  • The initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.
  • Flexibility to work shifts across a roster, including weekends.
  • Ability to work in an environment of cultural understanding, dignity, equality, fairness and transparency.
