DIRECTOR VACANCY 2024
Kerikeri Retirement Village Limited is seeking an experienced Director to join our board of seven directors. The organisation is a charitable company owned by two shareholders; Kerikeri Community Village Trust and Presbyterian Support Northern.
We operate a 68-bed care facility across 3 levels of care and have 120 independent living units in our retirement village. We currently own approximately 14 acres in the centre of Kerikeri, after being established in the 1980s. We are one of the larger businesses in Kerikeri, with a staff of 140, approximately 200 residents and a balance sheet with assets of $85m. We have plans to re-build and grow over the next 10 years to meet the demands of our market.
The board meets in person bi-monthly, plus the AGM. Our meetings are held during the week and are approximately 4.5 hours long. There are other expected commitments to fulfil in between meetings for project and committee work.
Appointments are for three years with a maximum possible of 3x3 year terms. This appointment will be a casual vacancy until the AGM in November ratifies the appointment.
With this appointment we are specifically looking for someone who can bring clinical skills to our board. The expectation is for this person to chair our Clinical & Quality Committee to ensure our Aged Care Facility is meeting the required standards of care & best clinical practice.
