Trust Aoraki Limited is seeking a motivated and results-driven Chief Operations Officer to maintain, develop, and grow the organisation’s business activities.
The successful candidate for this strategic role will oversee asset, venue and financial management, drive brand identity and awareness and will navigate and adhere to the requirements of a highly regulated environment.
We are a Timaru-based, not-for-profit organisation that raises and distributes funds throughout our local communities through the operation of Class 4 gaming machines across multiple regions. Our overarching philosophy is ‘locals for locals’ whereby we have local people making informed decisions to distribute the available funds back into the community where those funds were generated.
The ideal candidate will be highly effective at leading, implementing, and maintaining business functions, with proven experience and success at maintaining relationships with existing stakeholders, while creating opportunities to develop new relationships and income streams.
Reporting to the Board, this part-time role (24 hours per week), liaises closely with the Department of Internal Affairs, works alongside venue operators, and provides governance support, ensuring a high-performing organisation.
Ideally, the successful applicant will have experience in Class 4 gaming administration and management, however, this is not essential, and training can be provided to the right person for our organisation. Travel within our region is required at times.
If you are thinking about your next challenge, have proven success and knowledge of leading business functions, consistently deliver high-quality customer service and feel passionate about supporting locals, we welcome your expression of interest.
Applications close 5pm on Monday 9 September 2024.
