These events provide vital opportunities for refugee background young people to build connections with others in their communities. Events may include workshops, sharing kai and sports days. Youth Settlement volunteers empower rangatahi, provide safe environments and help create spaces where young people can thrive.
As a Youth Settlement volunteer, you may also be supporting the young people to navigate everyday challenges and adapt to life in Aotearoa New Zealand. Volunteers commit to support at least two events a term for two terms or more."
