Job Description

Marketing and Communications Manager

37.5 hours per week (with the ability to work flexibily)

Admit it, you’ve got a mental list of the top five ads of all time.  If you’re extra advertising geeky, you may have separated out your print ads from your digital ads.  We know your type, and we’re after someone just like you.

Our Marketing and Communications Manager is a pivotal role for our organisation and we need you to be spectacular!  What we’re peddling isn’t hard to sell – warm dry homes for everyone, power for people, not profit, all wrapped up with a healthy dose of looking after our planet.  It’s pretty straight forward, but we need someone who understands that clever marketing and excellent communications are vital to the success of an organisation like ours.

We reckon the split in this role will be about 80% marketing and 20% comms, so if that sounds like what you’re into, we want to hear from you!

Who are we?

We’re a bunch of awesome people, motivated by the fact that this is the decade of urgency for the planet.  We’ve got no time to waste, so we’re busy every day, making Kiwi homes warmer, drier and more energy-efficent. We empower people to take climate action and tackle plastic pollution, reducing waste to landfill through reuse, repair and recycling. You’re going to love us!

Who are you?

You’re passionate about getting compelling messages across to the right people at the right time. This isn’t your first rodeo (not that we support rodeos), you’ve got at least five years’ experience in marcomms roles, with a strong focus on marketing.

You’ve got experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies across a number of platforms for a range of products and services.  You understand brand and you may have launched one or two in your time.  You’re definitely an ideas person, but you also are an action person. You get things done, involving the right people within our organisaiton and enlisting the right external agencies to extend our message. You are results driven, and excited about taking responsibility for delivering campaigns that ensure we hit our targets in healthy homes installations and Toast Electric customers.
