Mō te tūranga - About the role

The role of the Transitional Housing (TH) Finance Administrator is to:

  • provide national financial and administrative support for the Transitional Housing Programme
  • collaborate with our local centres on financial processing
  • work with the National TH team on contract funding requirements
  • engage with TSA departments, external funders, and government agencies
  • connect with property providers and suppliers
  • ensure accurate TSA rental system records
  • provide reports and data for audits.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako - What will your responsibilities be:

  • Manage rent contributions, accounts payable/receivable
  • Supporting insurance claims
  • Perform financial tasks and reporting

Our ideal candidate will have/be the following:

  • Three to five years' experience in financial administration
  • Proficient in finance, bookkeeping, AR & AP, and month-end reporting
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with TechOne or Re-Leased is advantageous
  • Highly organised, accurate, reliable, adaptable, compassionate
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written skills
  • Understanding of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
  • Passionate about improving quality of life for people
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of mature judgement, sensitivity, tact, and discretion
  • Supportive of The Salvation Army Mission statement
  • Able to work in a team and autonomously
  • Full Driving License and eligibility to work in NZ

  • Starting salary: $54,000 - $64,000
