Job Description

This role involves:

  • Attending monthly Tiaki meetings
  • Meeting regularly with Manahautū General Manager
  • Assisting with monthly reporting, year-end accounts, auditing,
    fundraising, and formal governance processes.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of the following:

  • Accounting, financial management and asset management experience
  • An interest and energy for the arts sector
  • An understanding of the unique financial needs and behaviours of
    a-non-for-profit arts organisation
  • A working understanding of the articles and history of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how these are applied to the level of policy, economic thinking, and governance
  • A working knowledge of the non-for-profit sector and the mechanisms of charitable entities
  • Knowledge and respect of te ao Māori: te reo, kaupapa, and tikanga Māori
  • Strategic thinking skills
  • A confidence to share informed thoughts and developed opinions.
