Job Description

An awesome opportunity has arisen to be part of our enthusiastic and knowledgeable team, that prides itself on great customer care and service. This is a fixed term position for one year while we have a Pharmacist on maternity leave but has the potential to become permanent.

At Unichem Central Pharmacy we have been locally owned and operated and supporting the Mosgiel community for over 25 years.

We offer a wide range of Pharmacy services including – Vaccinations, Medicine Management, Warfarin Monitoring, Hearing Tests, Health Checks, Men's and Women’s Health, and of course, expert advice!

As one of our dedicated Community Pharmacists you could expect to be:

  • Providing sound medical advice to customers whilst looking for new innovative products and services for them.
  • Providing additional professional services such as Vaccinations, ECP, TMP, OC, BP Checks, ED and INR management. If you are not skilled in these yet, we can help with that! However we would prefer the successful applicant to be a Pharmacist Vaccinator.
  • Keeping up to date and accurate records and practices to comply with the Ministry of Health Pharmacy requirements and support with meeting Audit requirements such as updating SOPs.
  • Upskilling your knowledge on the latest products and services.

As a member of our pharmacy team we are looking for our new team member to:

  • Hold a current Pharmacy Annual Practicing Certificate and ideally previous experience in a New Zealand retail Pharmacy.
  • Have a passion for counselling customers and finding the right pharmaceutical or natural health solution for them
  • Thrive on working in a team environment and provide guidance for other team members.
  • Have the ability to be flexible with working hours to ensure the success of the Pharmacy.

This position is also open to newly registered Pharmacists as you will be working with a team of experienced Pharmacists in a great supportive environment. Sole charge work will be required on rostered Saturdays but this will be with an experienced Technician.

The position will be fulltime ( minimum 37.5 hours a week) plus rostered Saturdays of approx 1 in 4.
