Kristin School is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school on Auckland’s North Shore. It provides education for more than 1800 students from Early Learning to Year 13, with dual pathways through NCEA and the International Baccalaureate programme. Kristin has over 300 staff members across the school.

We are seeking an experienced payroll specialist to process our fortnightly payroll for over 300 employees, answer payroll queries, prepare statutory returns including PAYE and GST, and assist the Finance Manager with Accounting duties. Currently our payroll system is Greentree and while knowledge of this system would be desirable, training will be provided. We will be transitioning to Datacom’s Easipay system this year.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this person works in a team with Accounts Payable, Receivable and an Accounts Administrator. Providing variety to the role, you will also help with month-end journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and other Ad Hoc projects. This role is based on-site during term time and has the flexibility to work occasionally from home during term breaks.

Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake 

Our ideal applicant will have experience processing payroll and enjoy this aspect of their role. You will have at least an AT qualification and experience as a payroll administrator and assistant accountant. You will also have the following:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Knowledge of ACC processes
  • Knowledge/ experience of PAYE, Kiwisaver etc
  • Experience with myIR filing
  • A willingness to contribute to a team environment
  • High degree of confidentiality
  • Expertise in the Microsoft Office suite and Google Docs.
