About the role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to join our payroll team to support the timely and accurate delivery of our end to end payroll functions. This role is busy and varied making sure our people have confidence that they will be paid accurately on time every time.

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn as interesting payroll projects are on the horizon.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports and provide accurate, quality payroll data for managers 
  • Maintain employee records and respond to payroll enquiries from managers, employees and administrators
  • Support the Payroll Manager to maintain payroll process documentation, including standard operating procedures and user guides, and to identify and implement any process improvement opportunities.  

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience working in end to end payroll systems along with a good working knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Ideally proficiency in using Chris 21, but if not the ability to learn new payroll systems quickly
  • Experience in interpretation and application of Individual and collective employment agreements.
  • Excellent data entry skills and skills in office and excel.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to engage with others (internal and external)and build high trust relationships.
  • Adaptability and attention to detail
