Job Description

Are you interested in the betterment of intergenerational wellbeing in the Waikato with a particular focus on wellbeing knowledge and systems thinking?

We are looking for somebody to lead, coordinate and facilitate the further development of Te Ara Poutama. This is the Waikato Wellbeing Project's wellbeing knowledge initiative. This initiative seeks to be an active yet independent initiative that helps people understand what enables wellbeing, and to move towards implementing action that achieves that. The initiative is wellbeing framework agnostic; helps people understand various interpretations of what wellbeing is for them and for the environment; and seeks to provide insights about actions that progress towards achieving it.

You are somebody with a systems thinking mindset and curiosity about wellbeing knowledge. You are a compelling and welcoming communicator who can make complex knowledge accessible and of value to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences. You are comfortable with Te Ao Māori.

You are a quick learner, a tenacious and adaptable leader, who is able to work with and embrace uncertainty and flexibility. Your attitude counts for more than your degree!

We are looking for somebody who can work as an independent contractor for approximately 20 hours per week as part of a fast paced, dynamic and fun team. The initial contract would be for 12 months, with a review depending on progress made, funding and partnerships in place.
