Job Description

Mō te tūnga | About the role

In this Senior Communications Advisor role, you will deliver copy and content in a variety of formats – such as media releases, web copy and long-form articles. You will be the first point of contact on specific strategic objective areas for EECA.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and deliver effective communication strategies to promote EECA’s work
  • Lead briefings for channel specialists
  • Manage day-to-day media enquiries and build relationships with key media suppliers and journalists 
  • Identify and manage communications risks 

He kōrero mōu | Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Communications – either in a PR or Government agency
  • Strong written communication skills for a range of media
  • Experience with media management
  • An interest in energy-related topics and a willingness to learn
