New Zealand Red Cross call their regular monthly donors ‘Project Partners’. This is because by giving a monthly donation, regular donors become a valued partner in New Zealand Red Cross’ humanitarian work, and ensure that every day the organisation can reach those who need them.


Whether it’s a family caught out by a disaster or weather-related emergency, a neighbour struggling with social isolation and in need of a friendly face and a hot meal delivery, or providing support to our Pacific neighbours, those who New Zealand Red Cross support rely on Kiwis coming together and giving a monthly donation to ensure that wherever they are, they have the help and assistance they need.


Reporting to the Manager Individual Giving, the Senior Advisor Regular Giving is responsible for the effective delivery of one of New Zealand’s largest and most effective regular giving programmes. You’ll be involved in driving the strategic direction of the programme and its ongoing development, and provide oversight and mentorship to a talented Advisor Regular Giving.

Person Profile:

  • A proven record of managing successful fundraising products and programmes at a senior level, with particular experience working within individual giving programmes and managing third party service providers
  • A good understanding and knowledge of the principles of fundraising within the charitable sector, and an extensive understanding of the donor development process
  • A track record of success in, and commitment to, building and maintaining exceptional relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • A strong team player, with the ability to mentor and provide guidance to other team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-starter, driven and highly self-motivated
  • Ability to plan, manage and prioritise workload and time effectively
  • A consultative and open style with a ‘no surprises’ approach
  • An empathy for the humanitarian sector and enthusiasm for the work of New Zealand Red Cross
