We're looking for a new trustee to join our Auckland team as our Finance & Impact lead.
As a trustee, you'll join our board of young professionals working to connect young people to social and environmental action, and support our work to help get more young people into board positions in Aotearoa.
The Social Change Collective runs bi-monthly events on a range of social and environmental issues that attract around 50-70 attendees. After each event, we encourage people to take action in their local community by promoting volunteering opportunities, governance positions and engagement platforms e.g. writing submissions or signing petitions. About the role
As the Finance & Impact Trustee, you are responsible for ensuring SCC is in a secure and sustainable financial position.
This includes the funding relationships with key national and regional partners, as well as SCC’s legal responsibilities for financial management and reporting. Your role also has a focus on actions associated with events and tracking impact.
Key duties and responsibilities are set out in the attached role description. We are particularly interested in applicants in the 20–30 age bracket.

The Social Change Collective was formed in 2017 by a group of young Wellingtonians who wanted to be more informed of social issues and wanted to work together to create actionable solutions. The committee consists of lawyers, policy analysts and entrepreneurs. They see the potential in their peers to engage with the range of issues facing the world today.
We host bi-monthly events on a range of social and environmental issues. We are a platform to connect young people, who care about the community and want to spark positive change, with organisations and experts.
We also aim to increase representation at the decision-making table and run free workshops and training on governance for young people.
