Tēnei turanga - about the role:

You'll work in a varied and future focused role at the heart of our city. As the City Centre Lead, you'll be instrumental in creating strategic partnerships and collaborations to boost Lower Hutt's economic prosperity and invigorate the heart of the city. Work collaboratively with the Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi RiverLink project and empower city centre communities to unite and attain shared objectives while leading a unified and comprehensive approach within the city centre.

You'll get out and about alongside business owners to support and champion business aspirations and cultivate an interconnected community, taking a holistic approach to optimise collective impact across local businesses, property owners, community organisations, agencies, residents, mana whenua and Council's partners.

You'll be a natural collaborator who others want to work alongside and be enthusiastic about leading projects, be able to see the bigger picture while also happy to roll up your sleeves and muck in with the detail.

You'll understand and can empathise with the challenges that businesses face, especially in times of change.

You'll be an ace at face to face interactions, will love making new connections, have loads of curiosity and perhaps this extends to  facilitating a room worth of conversations into a cohesive direction

We're looking for a capable addition to our small yet agile and creative team who can make the most of having the flexibility to direct your own work. Bonus if you have established networks across our local Lower Hutt business community too.
