He kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
To guide us on our mission we are looking for a whetū - General Manager to join the team! You will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading Ka Uruora Kāinga towards becoming a leading Māori-focused whānau-centric housing services organization. Reporting directly to the Board, you will oversee the delivery of exceptional tenancy and property management services, supporting iwi| Māori partners nationwide in delivering social and affordable housing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and Lead Teams| Develop and lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional tenancy and property management services.
- Organizational Capability| Foster an organizational culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement aligned with our guiding principles.
- Partnership Building| Cultivate strong, long-term partnerships with iwi| Māori partners to support their aspirations in delivering critical affordable housing.
- Strategy Development| Lead organizational planning for key strategic and operational objectives approved by the Board, ensuring successful implementation.
- Partnership Development| Support iwi| Māori entities in developing connected, thriving housing communities, fostering local community engagement.
- Crown Relationships| Develop key relationships with the Crown to secure funding, ensuring the fulfillment of key deliverables and obligations under capacity contracts with MHUD.
- Financial Management| Effectively manage the financial performance of the organization, ensuring sustainability and growth.
- Compliance| Maintain accountability as a registered community housing provider, overseeing compliance with health and safety responsibilities and other obligations.
- Board and Stakeholder Reporting| Oversee the delivery of effective Board and stakeholder reporting, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational objectives.
