Life Linc Nelson

Life Linc Nelson (formerly Lifeline Nelson) was established in 1974 and at that time its aim was to field local calls a few hours during the day time. Over the years this telephone counselling service increased to seven days a week, and was serviced by a dedicated team of approx. 25-30 100% volunteer telephone counsellors. In 2006 the free Face to Face counselling was established. This is a short term one on one counselling service offered to our local community who could benefit from extra support.  

In 2016 we ceased the telephone service as there are enough other telehealth providers and choose to grow our face to face counselling team. We provide support to clients of all ethnicities, aged from 10-70+ years, in the Nelson/Tasman region operation out of 4 rooms. We are provide our region with AFFORDABLE, low cost professional counselling, our team of 14 counsellors are all VOLUNTEERS who are either fully qualified or in training on placement.

Have three part time office staff consisting of Operations Manager, Counselling Manager and Community Liaison Administrator, governed by a Board of five who bring knowledge around HR, Health and finance.
