Mary Potter Hospice

Mary Potter Hospice provides palliative care services free of charge to the people of Wellington from Seatoun to Waikanae. We are an independent charitable trust with a Board of Trustees made up of representatives from our community. The Hospice employs approximately 170 staff (112 full-time equivalent) including nurses, doctors, allied health, spiritual carers, therapists and administrators. The Hospice operations cost around $14 million a year to run. It receives around half its funding from the Government and it fundraises for the rest. Our volunteers and staff are integral to our organisation - and we are always on the look out for people passionate about helping the community.
