Managed since 2013 by The One Victoria Trust , The Meteor Theatre, the heart of Kirikiriroa Hamilton arts, sits proudly at no 1 Victoria St, CBD.
The One Victoria Trust’s vision is to enhance, foster and develop the performing arts in our city, by providing a vibrant and thriving venue for theatre, music, dance, poetry, exhibitions, workshops, comedy, improv…and much, much more.
The Meteor Theatre is a busy space for the community to share creative experiences, running a full annual program of performing arts and community events for nearly a decade, in our versatile and busy multi-space venue in the heart of Kirikiriroa Hamilton. The Meteor has an iconic Blackbox theatre, an art gallery, rehearsal and workshop space, and a Creative Cluster shared office.
As the Waikato’s most innovative, accessible, and affordable performance space we are a coral reef for emerging practitioners, actors, writers, technicians, and producers. The Meteor has a vital incubator role to play in the arts ecosystem of Kirikiriroa Hamilton and the wider Waikato region.
