Wellingtonians are very proud of our city, the Coolest Little Capital in the World. While it is a great place to live, work, do business and to raise a family, for many it isn’t.
For many Wellingtonians, reality is different and life is hard. Whether you are sleeping rough, struggling to make ends meet or can’t put food on the table – The Wellington City Mission is here to help you.
The Wellington City Mission can support you in a number of ways, regardless of your circumstances. We provide supported transitional housing, rest home and hospital-level residential care. We welcome you into our Community Lounge where you can enjoy the company and community of others. We also provide food support through our Social Supermarket, budget advice and financial mentoring, and 1 to 1 support and advocacy.
We’ll walk alongside you, advocate on your behalf and support you to achieve empowerment, transformation and fullness of life.
The Wellington City Mission endeavours to treat everyone with dignity and respect. From the community we serve, to our staff and volunteers, we are committed to creating an organisation that embraces diversity and promotes inclusion. All our services accept everyone as they are and aim to celebrate the differences amongst us; regardless of who you are, what you have, what you believe, where you are from, or what circumstances you are in.
