Special Olympics Te Whanganui -a-Tara is first and foremost a volunteer-led sports organisation for people with an intellectual disability, but it provides athletes with far more than the physical benefits of sport.
We offer training and competition in Athletics, Bocce, Basketball, Ten Pin Bowling, Swimming, Snow Sports and (in partnership with Hutt Valley Riding for the Disabled) Equestrian.
We are a part of the wider network of Special Olympics Clubs throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.
