The Christchurch Methodist Mission is committed to breaking cycles of injustice that exist in society and to instead promoting cycles of hope. We do so by addressing the causes and effects of social and economic disparity and exclusion. We seek to expand public debate on important social issues of our time, in order to build a socially just and inclusive society in which all people flourish. As Christchurch is rebuilt, it’s time to address some important social concerns that will impact significantly on what we'll end up with. All people deserve to grow up in a city that cares for them. As such, we're focusing on specific issues we believe need to be addressed in order to create an inclusive and caring city, namely: child poverty, age-friendliness, affordable housing, health inequalities, social capital, and reducing access to alcohol.
