Bald Angels Charitable Trust believes ALL children deserve to thrive, and as a trusted grassroots organisation serving Te Taitokerau- Northland, we make over 4000 connections to vulnerable taitamariki(children and young people) every year by partnering many wonderful organisations. It's all about building community strength, reaching hearts & homes, using our privilege and networks to drive change and belief in our youth that they can be the best version of themselves- in spite of the challenges.
Programmes and projects that lift our kids up include youth mentoring, whānau support, fostering inclusivity and diversity, and emergency care parcels. Our Far North communities are some of the most isolated and impoverished in Aotearoa with poor stats in health and wellbeing, so our work makes a difference at multiple levels and seeing a young person take a step towards a better future is so rewarding- for them and us. We CAN build better futures together.
