Job Overview

TherapyMantra is looking for compassionate and licensed therapists in New Zealand to provide high-quality mental health support through online and/or in-person sessions. You will work with a diverse client base, helping individuals navigate emotional, psychological, and relationship challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual, couples, and/or family therapy sessions via video, phone, or chat
  • Assess clients’ mental health conditions and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records
  • Apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches (CBT, DBT, ACT, etc.)
  • Support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams when required for case management
  • Ensure ethical practice and compliance with New Zealand mental health regulations

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
  • Registered or licensed therapist in New Zealand (e.g., NZ Psychologists Board / NZAC or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1–3 years of clinical experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with online therapy platforms and digital tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage flexible schedules

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with multicultural or international clients
  • Specialization in areas such as trauma, couples therapy, or child psychology
  • Familiarity with EAP (Employee Assistance Programs)
