The Migrant Neuro-Inclusion Network (MINN) is a Tangata Tiriti-led initiative working to ensure that neurodivergent migrants and culturally diverse communities are visible, supported, and included in health, education, and social systems across Aotearoa New Zealand.
MINN was founded to address the unique challenges faced by neurodivergent people within migrant communities, MINN brings together lived experience, community knowledge, and professional expertise to advocate for more inclusive and equitable systems.
Our work focuses on:
Raising awareness and understanding of neurodiversity across culturally diverse communities
Supporting community education, dialogue, and knowledge sharing
Connecting individuals, families, and organisations with resources and support
Advocating for inclusive policies and services that recognise the diversity of neurodivergent experiences
Creating spaces where migrant voices and lived experiences can shape solutions
Through partnerships with community groups, researchers, service providers, and advocates, MINN works to strengthen collective action and ensure that no community is left behind in conversations about neurodiversity, wellbeing, and belonging.
Our vision is an Aotearoa where neurodivergent migrants are recognised, valued, and supported to thrive.
