Established in July 2025, the Zero Waste Tāmaki Makaurau Trust is a member organisation dedicated to helping Auckland thrive — socially, environmentally, and economically. We work alongside our members to advance a bold, shared vision: zero waste by 2040.
Our work supports Community Recycling Centres to become hubs of innovation, circular solutions, education, local employment, and resilience. By diverting waste from landfill and returning valuable resources to community use, we contribute to environmental protection while nurturing community wellbeing and a thriving local circular economy across Tāmaki Makaurau.
