Mō Mātou
Mohua Social Services is a well-respected, highly trusted and values-driven organisation
based in Mohua/Golden Bay. We provide holistic support for local whānau, including social
work services, a food bank, financial capability building/mentoring, stopping violence
programmes, and support for older people.
Our kaupapa is grounded in whanaungatanga, manaakitanga and community and whānau
wellbeing.
We are a small, passionate and committed team of around 10 part-time staff, contractors
and volunteers working together to fulfil our vision of providing accessible and sustainable
social services and activities that meet the needs of our community.
Mohua Social Services is looking to the future — building on our strong foundations to
keep developing a whānau-led, community-driven approach that meets local needs in ways
that reflect our place, people and values.
