Free For All is an impactful household goods and clothing redistribution service which serves some of the neediest citizens in the Hutt Valley whilst minimizing needless and environmentally unacceptable waste.
We reduce financial pressure by providing people with access to the things they need most.
We operate a large ‘give what you can, take what you need’ goods redistribution facility in Te Puni St Petone where the public can receive donated household items for a small entry koha.
We help 500-800 people each week access homewares, electrical goods, toys, books, clothing and other household items. This also enables us to divert more than 2500 kgs of waste from landfill each week.
We offer an important service to new migrants, the elderly, young families, struggling students and many other people who are having difficulty making ends meet.
Free For All also offers volunteering, training and employment opportunities for people who may otherwise be unemployed, socially isolated, disengaged or struggling without community support.
We also provide work experience opportunities through our Pathway to Employment programme. We create a place of belonging and inclusiveness for workers, volunteers, and customers, regardless of personal circumstances, background, or choices. We support the physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing of people in our community, building confidence to empower them to create a better future for themselves, their whanau, friends and the Hutt Valley community.
