The Tamaki Estuary Protection Society is a registered charity and incorporated Society. We have a volunteer executive committee and members who support our work.
TEPS purpose is to safeguard the life-supporting capacity of the Tāmaki Estuary. We work towards this as volunteers, through advocacy, action, research, reporting, monitoring, education, and raising awareness about the Tamaki Estuary and its catchment’s management. Our goal is to see the Tamaki Estuary and its tributaries maintained, enhanced, and restored.
Preventing pollution, improving water quality, supporting biodiversity (shorebird monitoring and protection) and erosion prevention and response are key focuses.
