Grow Wānaka is a circular model community garden, composting centre and education hub. We are passionate about community wellbeing, food security and waste minimisation, with the garden at the center of it all as a welcoming place for people to come and learn, connect, share and grow. We accept household food scraps to our organic drop off station, which feeds our worm farms. We use the compost for collective and organic produce production in the garden. Produce is shared with volunteers during our weekly working bees, with surplus going back to our community Food Bank. We hold monthly educational workshops and events, and weekly working bees year round.
