Innovative Young Minds is a Charitable Trust based in Te Awa Kairangi – Lower Hutt.
Our goal is to inspire female students in Years 11 & 12 to embrace their science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and high-tech manufacturing (STEMM) skills to become the next generation of female innovators and industry leaders.
Women are under-represented in science and technology in New Zealand. Our vision is to showcase the choice of different STEMM training and employment options to IYM participants and inspire them to pursue STEMM careers. We deliver annual Programmes (online and in-person) for students that highlights different career pathways, engages with the STEMM sector, builds relationships and confidence, introduces them to role models and supporters in STEMM and connects them to our active Alumnae network.
