Rare Disorders NZ

Rare Disorders NZ exists to bring about best possible health and wellbeing for people and whānau living with rare disorders in New Zealand/Aotearoa.  We work towards this by enabling and empowering people with rare disorders to best benefit from services and therapies available in New Zealand, and to champion their collective voice, advocating for provision of world leading evidence based health, disability, education and other services.

About 300,000 New Zealanders have a rare disorder (not necessarily diagnosed), there are approximately 7000 rare disorders prevalent in the NZ population, and we support a network of over 150 rare disorder specific support groups.
