Urban Ark - Manawa Taiao is an environmental charity which supports groups working to improve native biodiversity across the central isthmus of Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. Our groups are involved with removing pest weeds, planting native speicies, trapping invasive predators and advocating for nature in the city. We also run a schools' environmental education programmme and are involved iwth Auckland Council's Community Flood Resilience programme. Urban Ark seeks to integrate the impact of the groups across the wider Auckland isthmus to create a coordinated approach.
