Since 1963, young people across the country have been using The Duke of Edinburgh’s Hillary Award to help them dig deep. To foster their resilience. To think creatively. To hone a sense of grit and tenacity. To engage in the world outside the classroom. To prepare for a future that is dynamic, unpredictable, and brimming with potential.
But we’re just getting started.
We’re on a mission to help ensure many more rangatahi can unlock their potential. Our ambition is that by 2030, more than 30,000 young New Zealanders will be using the Award Framework every year, supported by an engaged, inspiring, collaborative network of partners and deliverers throughout the country.
And that all starts with our dedicated kaimahi and the work they do every day. We may be a small organisation, but we have a huge heart; and even bigger ambitions for the future.
